PAPAYA Parents and Carers Talk

“Let’s talk about our kids and their tech.” by Dr. Susie Davies
Tuesday 24th June 2025, 7.30–9pm
(doors open from 7pm)

As parents, we are faced with many challenges; but in the last 10 years smartphones and social media have created a new host of issues.

Dr. Susie Davies is an experienced GP, mother of three adolescents, and founder of the charity PAPAYA. In this interactive talk she unpacks some of the complex issues around smartphone use and, in a non-judgemental way, will help you find solutions that work for your family.
  1. The risks to mental health and well-being associated with spending too much time online.
  2. Strategies for families to achieve a healthy balance with technology.
  3. Ways in which parents and schools can work together to identify healthy boundaries and online habits.
  4. Question and discussion time.
Tickets are now available at the PTFA Shop (£3 regular ticket, £5 fundraising ticket). Ticket sales will close at 6pm on Monday 23rd June, unless we sell out sooner.

Please note:
  • This is an adults-only event.
  • No physical tickets will be issued – names will be checked at the door.
  • No refunds can be given on tickets.
