Embrace Screening

Tuesday 21st January – 8pm

Please join us for a screening of the inspiring documentary film Embrace, about body image.

Join us for a short Q&A session afterwards about how we talk to our children about body image.

After an unconventional before-and-after image on the internet sparked an international media frenzy, its subject Taryn Brumfitt; made a crowdfunded film and founded the Body Image Movement, which believes that everyone has the right to love and embrace their body, regardless of shape, size, ethnicity or ability. The film addresses the alarming rates of body image issues that are seen in people of all body types, explores the factors contributing to this problem and seeks to find solutions.

This is a free event and there will be a cash bar. Donations toward Bishop Road PTFA are very welcome.

If you are planning on buying a drink from the bar at the event, please consider bringing your own reusable glass or cup to cut down on waste

Doors open 7.30pm. Screening starts at 8pm. Film Rating: 12A (you are welcome to bring any children of that age and over but be aware the film tackles sensitive issues so).
